Dating back to 1776, ‘The Extravaganza, or the Mountain Head Dress of 1776’ is an engraved caricature of a woman, sitting upright beneath a huge mass of hair adorned with ostrich feathers, flowers, carrots, corn, and fruit. Elaborate and eccentric, the image is widely understood to make a satirical comment on the fashion choices of the time.

The artwork is printed in the UK on 250 gsm wood-free smooth art paper using a flat-bed digital press, on paper certified by both the Programme for the Endorsement of Forestry Certification and the Forest Stewardship Council.
